tΞp-plication for Spring 2024
tΞp is a gender inclusive co-op/independent living group running on equal parts chaos and innocuous wholesomeness with a history of freethinking spirit and experimental living. Our house, about a 22 minute walk away from campus, is entirely self-governing and mostly self-made, so if programmable LED boards, secret passageways, light shows, collective cooking, beds hanging from the ceiling, and internet-connected laundry sound like your deal, tEp might be for you!
tΞp is looking to increase its membership to a full house of 30 members. This means that incoming members will have a large say in shaping the community, and will have many opportunities to take on leadership roles. This doesn’t mean we expect everyone to take on an officer position, but we want to invite people into our family who will step up when needed and keep the house steady and growing. Obviously we hope this motivation will be more natural after we’ve all met each other!
Application Logistics
This application is intended to be brief! After receiving your application, we will reach out to schedule an interview at our house (or virtually if that’s not possible), attended by a couple current members of tΞp and yourself. We hope this will be a low-stakes friendly way of getting to know each other, and allow both of us to determine if tΞp is a good fit.
We will follow up with you after the interview to let you know if we are going to extend a Bid to you. A Bid is an invitation to join the tΞp fambly. Accepting the Bid comes with an expectation that you will move in to tΞp for the Fall 2024 semester, though you can move in sooner. Additionally, upon accepting the Bid, you are granted the full suite of rights that membership of tΞp entails. We will hold formal initiation ceremonies in Spring 2025.
